Job Description

The Researcher Manager will be responsible for identifying and interpreting information and data from various sources. These include: client market trends, competitor & customer research, emerging product & design trends, consumer trends, new technologies and global innovation. A big part of this role will be devising way to distill information relating to new product GAPS and opportunities; understanding of the key future challenges they face as a business into actionable insights.

You are a talented, creative thinker with demonstrable experience of working across a variety of insight and research projects. You will be a storyteller who can connect all aspects of research to inspire creativity in our business and those around you.

The Research Manager will have a keen eye for design and trends, finding inspiration from a variety of sources. Responsible for identifying and interpreting information and data to provide actionable outputs in terms of new product gaps and opportunities.

A challenging role where adaptive thinking and the ability to find solutions to complex problems is essential to drive Design and Innovation for Howdens. The role will involve travel across the UK and abroad where required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great team of people and progress within the business working in our Design Studio based in Goole, East Yorkshire.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a Research / Insights professional with + 2 years experience alongside a degree (2:1 and above)

You will be expert in exploring innovation & trends and, most importantly, considered and impactful in your deliverance. Having an interest in design and interiors will enable you to be a motivated 'self-starter'.

You will also be adept at understanding and translating what the future means to the business. Being resilient is a fundamental factor, combined with the ability to work under pressure and make the correct decisions to deliver cohesive findings to key stakeholders.
