Job Description

As the Retail Development Manager you will:

  • Develop initiatives for new sales channels to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Identify and recommend business enablers and tools.
  • Ensure that business service models are delivering optimal efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage and measure performance of results and implementation of trials.
  • Keep up to date on industry and technological trends helping to suggest new strategic initiatives
  • Define best working processes and practices and delivers these to the wider account teams to ensure consistent ways of working across the business.
  • Identify, test and implement relevant new sales channels and customer service enhancements.
  • Build robust business cases to support all new revenue and product offerings.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience in a buying role
  • The ability to turn a great idea into reality through development of a strong business case and an ability to influence across the business
  • The ability to interpret sales data and make recommendations to increase profitability
  • An understanding of other areas of commercial competency such as supply chain operations, merchandising, and/or marketing
  • Fluent in English and ability to speak a foreign language is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • The ability to work well independently or as part of a team
