About Our Client

The client is a leading pharmaceuticals company that is listed on the FTSE 100. They have a global presence and offices worldwide.

Job Description

  • Assist with the preparation of regular Risk Management key reports
  • Monitor finance control performance by organising and chairing Comm cells with the Process owner organisation, be able to explain issues to Process owners and support issues resolution.
  • Perform financial controls testing. Be able to understand risk, control description and reach process owner to validate the process and supporting documentation.
  • Perform testing of key financial controls where required as part of Sarbanes Oxley programme
  • Assess testing and SOX results and be able to perform root cause analysis and agree a mitigation plan with Process Owners and assign an owner and a target date resolution date.
  • Monitor mitigation actions to resolution, ensure action owner provides regular updates and identify any deviation to target date.
  • Co-ordinate information availability for L2 and SOX testing
  • Provide support to Process Owner led projects
  • Co-ordinate PwC requests for testing of controls/reliance on Risk Management team testing

The Successful Applicant

  • A recognized Finance qualification e.g. CA, CPA, CIMA etc. or Masters equivalent
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in a large multi-national organisation, ideally Big 4 experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple activities
  • Numeracy, accuracy, excellent attention to detail, very good knowledge of MS tool (e.g. excel spreadsheet, Power point, etc)
  • Proven track record in being able to analyse complex situations to determine root cause
  • Strong analytical skills, problem diagnosis and solving. Ability to face and to drive changes in flexible way.
