Job Description

Risk Data Specialist will report directly to the Senior Manager of the team and play a key role in representing RAD on data-related matters in governance boards and committees. The successful candidate is expected to provide technical leadership and guidance to all the team's data activities, including leading the supervisory reviews of the business's risk data architecture.

The successful candidate will also be expected to:

  • lead the extension of a core data set for concurrent stress testing, including how data requirements will be affected by new legislation and standards, such as Structural Reform and IFRS 9;
  • lead planning and execution of supervisory reviews of risk data reporting processes and data architecture, liaising with specialist and supervisory colleagues in the business, to assess the extent to which firms meet the Basel Risk Data Aggregation Principles (BCBS 239)

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have extensive financial services experience, gained either through a role at one or more major financial services firms, ideally from a Retail or Corporate Bank, consultancy practices or at a regulator.

Detailed knowledge of or expertise in financial services risk management and/or risk reporting/modelling is important to be successful in this job.

Applicants should have proven quantitative skills, typically obtained through a first degree in a quantitative or financial/economics discipline.
