Job Description

As Sanctions Project Manager you will be repsonsible for:

Supporting the UK Head of Sanctions with regulatory engagement activities such as responses to regulatory requests, preparation of presentations and reports, etc.

Lead or support the implementation of key aspects of the Sanctions Target Operating model or projects designed to improve the sanctions control framework and meet regulatory milestones/commitments.

Key initiatives within scope of the Programme include sanctions procedure roll out, design and implementation of operational or system changes required to meet Sanctions Policy requirements.

Work closely with Lines of Business to understand their unique regulatory and operational requirements and implement the required sanctions control / operational enhancement

Represent the UK Sanctions function at project working groups, steering committees and governance forums as a sanctions subject matter expert or project lead. Communicate with UK Head of Sanctions on the status and outcome of projects under management or key deliverables.

This role will include continuous improvement of the Sanction advisory process and will act as a co-ordination point for the sanctions team and the business.

The Successful Applicant

Knowledge including knowledge of Sanctions, Risk, Financial Crime, Compliance, Monitoring, Programme and Project Managing experience.

Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. business activities for a large global banking group with diverse operations from retail banking, wealth management, commercial banking, global banking, investments, transaction services, asset management, private banking and insurance within the Financial Services.

Experience improving Sanction Advisory processes and implementing new Target Operating Models will be extremely beneficial.
