Job Description

As a Senior Account Manager you will Plan, organise and control a team and support staff to progress day-to-day work on the clients.

  • Maintain close liaison with clients to ensure work is progressing satisfactorily and opportunities are being seized. Involve senior management as appropriate.
  • Maintain quality control over work produced by junior staff. Check all written material before it goes to client for approval.
  • Ensure all work is carried-out within budget and that invoicing is done correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Draft monthly hours plans with AD and monitor budgets and resourcing.
  • Full range of writing skills, including editorial writing, presentations, newsletters, website copy, features, proposals, digital content and social media.
  • Liaison with third party suppliers and agreement on budgets for bought-in services.
  • Development of new opportunities on existing business and new business. Preparation of proposals.
  • Team motivation and identification of problems in teams to discuss with senior management. Be equipped with delegation and supervision skills.
  • Production of tactical plans to deliver strategic communications objectives. Recognise where adaptation and change is required and work with ADs to refine campaign if appropriate once implementation begins to realign with objectives.
  • Provide competent consultancy advice to clients.
  • Keep abreast of, and adopt new developments and techniques within the communications sector such as online initiatives; SEO, planning, social and research, for example.
  • To be responsible for monitoring the achievement of KPIs and presentation of results.
  • Where requested to manage the fulfilment by other agencies/suppliers of projects and to understand the role of PR with regards to off-line and on-line communications, events, relationship management marketing, performance marketing and digital initiatives.
  • To deliver presentations within the company, to existing clients and at new business pitches. To share information in open forum and lead knowledge sharing sessions within the company as appropriate.
  • To attend networking sessions and identify new opportunities to network.
  • Creativity - knowing when to run a brainstorm session; knowing when to use other creative techniques; knowing how to use the creative process; knowing how to manage the creative dimension in public relations activities
  • Understand the client's marketplace and industry; supplement knowledge through market reports.

What's on Offer

£30000-£35000 depending on experience.
