About Our Client

My client won numerous M&A awards in 2015 and is a specialist sell side M&A and capital raising boutique. Uniquely, they can invest up to £1m in their client who they believe to have strong growth prospects. They also partner with their clients in the preceding up to three years prior to sales to help them get the best price when they do sell. This is an excellent opportunity for a part qualified accountant or someone studying CFA to grow into a role with strong career prospects. Job Description

  • Manage Junior Analyst/Analyst in the potential client pitch preparation process including potential purchaser research, recent transaction research, financial analysis, key recommendations and quick wins.
  • Attending potential client pitches, contributing meaningful comments, taking minutes, uploading minutes to company CRM system and setting a next step task in the CRM system
  • Project manage all stages of the sell side process including the following:
    • Assisting senior team members with 'fact finding', 'diagnostic checklist' and ongoing review meetings.
    • Leading the process (with the support from junior staff) to prepare potential purchaser research, the sell-side report, roadmap, ad hoc financial analysis, co-ordination of sales clinics and on-going review meetings.
  • Assisting the senior team members with all aspects of the Lead Advisory process including (but not limited to) sending requests and receiving money laundering documentation, preparation and attendance at workshops, data room management, information memorandum and teaser preparation, potential purchaser research, contacting potential purchasers to generate interest and recording results on companyCRM system, sending and receivingNDA's, arranging and attending purchaser/client meetings, co-ordinating due diligence and liaising with all parties throughout the entire process. The Senior Analyst should lead the following aspects of the Lead Advisory process with the support from Junior Analyst/Analyst:
    • Data room management, information memorandum and teaser preparation, potential purchaser research and contacting potential purchasers.
  • Completion of specific origination projects which have been set by senior team members with the support from Junior Analyst/Analyst
  • Lead and develop Junior Analysts/Analysts and ensure that they are appropriately set up on tasks which they have been allocated and understand the reason for completing the task
  • Ensuring company CRM system is up to date at all times.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have/be;

  • Part qualified ACA or CFA with the desire to fully qualify.
  • Have knowledge of the M&A landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal.
  • Strong numerical skills with a degree from a top 15 university.
  • Be fluent with financial modelling and have the ability to train juniors.
