Job Description

The Senior Business Analyst is actively involved in the execution of the financial analysis and planning for this $2 billion division.

This role gives instant access to the international CFO and oversight of over 20 international business units. You will be the eyes and ears on behalf of the strategy and business development teams.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Key member of the FP&A team, responsible for coordinating and analyzing each planning cycle (budgets, monthly forecasts, 3YP).
  • Preparing and providing analytical support for Board meetings and business reviews
  • Performing investment appraisal of key projects across the International Business.
  • Internal corporate finance and M&A analysis where required.
  • Capital spend analysis, allocation and tracking.
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Coordinating and driving profit generating projects across the portfolio
  • Business partnering and supporting the local country Finance teams.
  • Supporting the leaders in a commercial finance capacity.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

You will be heavily analytical and this role requires the ability to access and manipulate information from internal and external sources, and integrate it accurately and timely.

This role also interacts and supports local market RPs, GMs and CFOs, together with the International CFO & CEO, and other Corporate HQ leaders to support the division.

This role is based in Central London.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant must have:

  • ACA Qualification - preferably from the big 4 or top 10, minimum 2 years PQE.
  • Undergraduate Degree 2:1 and above from a Red-Brick/Russell Group university, Strong A-levels and GCSEs.
  • Experience within an FP&A function or similar.
  • Strong financial analysis and quantitative modeling skills; experience supporting complex financial models.
  • Superior analytic and technical skills combined with the ability and desire to get into the details of basic accounting issues that impact the company, yet understand the broader business and strategic issues faced by senior management.
  • Proven ability to be a strong team player, and to interact and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, in multiple locations and non-finance departments at an international level.
  • Ambitious, independent, self-starter with strong business acumen and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and to work with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Interest in Media / Advertising industry and wider macroeconomic trends.
