Job Description

As part of the Senior Business Change Project Manager role your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Work as part of a newly formed team in order to build a best in class Project Management capability focused on adding business value and delivering projects to time, scope and budget.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to drive behavioural, cultural and process-driven improvements across both medical and non-medical business areas.
  • Take accountability for the end to end management and delivery of business change projects including, but not limited to, clinical modelling and continual improvement, corporate reporting re-design, ward design and estates project.
  • Assign, track and manage budgets between £500,000 and £3 million
  • Identify and manage project resources on a matrix basis, including Business Analysts and Project Support staff.
  • Work closely with Programme Managers to report project progress to senior stakeholders and sponsors
  • Identify and continuously manage project risks and issues, ensuring delivery is not negatively impacted.
  • Ensure that you follow St Andrew's adopted practices and processes.
  • Coach and mentor junior members of the Project Management team to ensure they are progressing and developing within the function.
  • Build strong relationships within the business in order to ensure successful delivery of projects and to understand the future pipeline of work.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in your application for the Senior Business Change Project Manager role you will:

  • Be able to demonstrate a strong track record of delivering cultural and business change projects from inception through to completion.
  • Be emotionally intelligent with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with senior business stakeholders to ensure their buy-in and sponsorship of the associated culture changes.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and under budget.
  • Demonstrable ability to turn around failing projects to ensure successful delivery.
  • Strong commercial and business knowledge in order to effectively influence and manage large project budgets, senior business stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Adaptable style of communication, with the ability to drive a process-driven and commercial mentality while maintaining integrity of the company's core employee values.
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail and the ability to implement and enforce best practice within teams.
  • Be Prince 2 or MSP certified.
  • Be educated to degree level or above.
