About Our Client

Our client is a major Automotive organisation based in the West Midlands

Job Description

The Senior Buyer for this financial services organisation based in the West Midlands will be responsible for:

- Assisting in the effective management of existing contracts and securing new commercial arrangements with suppliers

- Managing ongoing contracts

- Sourcing, evaluating and selecting new suppliers

- Managing and delivering cost saving targets year on year as agreed with the Head of Procurement

-Leading the tender processes to manage and select new vendors and report to management on the outcomes of the process

- Manage strategic level relationships with existing suppliers

- Look at a large indirects spend and manage and ensure costs are kept to a minimum whilst providing the most appropriate and up to date product and service costs

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Senior Buyer for this Automotive organisation based in Birmingham would demonstrate the following core competencies:

- Proven Senior Buyer exposure

- Outstanding record of supplier relationship management and process improvement

- Strong track record of year on year cost savings

- CIPS or equivalent professional qualification
