Job Description

The Senior Campaign Manager is responsible for planning and implementing monthly data-driven BAU and test campaigns to drive quotes, conversion to sales, minimise CPAs, and optimise ROI. The Snr Campaign Manager is responsible for planning and executing a full range of BTL campaigns, utilising a range of channels as appropriate, across warm (including up-sell and x-sell), cold, retention, in-life and data-appended data sources.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Initiate and develop end-to-end data-driven online/offline DM campaigns in conjunction with the Customer Marketing & Brand teams to support the achievement of the respective acquisition targets.
  • Develop and deliver the DM Acquisition plans with a focus on improving CPAs through increased targeting and relevance
  • Develop and execute 'Top notch Comms to ensure all creative is best in class, relevant and of the highest standard
  • Promote close working relationships between the Customer Marketing & Brand team, and other areas of Marketing and broader organisation to ensure best collective output in order to achieve business goals (e.g. customer profiling and targeting, media planning, creative development, etc).
  • Work efficiently within the agreed DM budget and support the DM manager to ensure that this is reconciled and managed effectively in a timely manner
  • Develop, execute and measure acquisition, in-life and retention campaigns for products in partnership with internal and external agencies
  • Work with, and manage day-to-day relationships with, creative agencies and print provider to ensure collateral is produced in advance of monthly campaigns
  • Devise and publish regular performance MI for key stakeholders in the business, and leverage reporting to understand, communicate and act upon DM trading performance to drive campaign effectiveness and profitability.
  • Focus on 'strong Commerciality', process improvements and/or efficiency to contribute to the profitability of DLG Insurance.
  • Participate fully in wider marketing activities, share DM insight and support the DM team in maintaining and further developing a high profile within the business, including with other marketing teams, business functions and a range of stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Consider a full mix of DM channels, be aware of new channel opportunities and create multi-channel campaigns to drive ROI to best effect.
  • Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to my role, in line with the DLG Insurance risk framework and the Financial Promotions team.

  • Key Competencies:
  • Proven experience in Direct Marketing
  • Analytical skills and an entrepreneurial approach to spot and act on opportunities to drive increased performance
  • Good understanding of the financial services industry and working within a regulated environment
  • Ability to cope well in a busy environment and manage multiple campaigns at any one time
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Capable of managing senior stakeholders and agencies
