About Our Client

The client is a global finance/insurance broker with a strong reputation for customer service. The Group Procurement function is responsible for managing the company indirect third-party spend. Through deep understanding of suppliers and markets, They work with the business to help shape their requirements and ensure that fit-for-purpose products and services are sourced at the best possible commercial arrangements. They also provide a framework to help the business manage their active suppliers to enable them to maximise performance, manage operational risk and comply with the industry regulatory requirements.

Job Description

The purpose of your role will be to maximise value through the end-to-end commercial management of key suppliers and associated third-party spend, focussing on driving performance and commercial benefit from the supply chain. You'll meet agreed commercial targets for your category including delivery of sustainable cost reductions; you will also be accountable for the management of all relevant category or sub-category spend and for building strong internal relationships with key stakeholders.

You'll apply appropriate commercial, supplier relationship management and category management skills, tools and techniques in order to:

Drive value for money through the identification and delivery of commercial benefits, including savings, drive performance by optimising the supply chain, mitigate and manage supply chain risk, manage suppliers within your category to achieve contracted levels of performance and benefit delivery.

The Successful Applicant

Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills and proven track record of building strong internal business relationships at all levels

Experience within permanent recruitment, RPO arrangements (other relevant HR related experience will also be considered)

Significant experience and a proven track record of delivering Commercial, SRM, or Category Management within a demanding, fast evolving environment

Leading and managing complex sourcing processes

Developing and negotiating complex agreements,

CIPS qualification desirable

Educated to degree level or equivalent
