About Our Client


Job Description

  1. Lead and make recommendations on quarterly and campaigner category plans (including key product focus, brochure space utilisation, merchandising, pricing) for Category Manager sign-off. Your recommendations will be based upon rigorous historical and market analysis
  2. Implement the agreed plans ensuring the robust delivery of multiple KPIs throughout the campaign review process, working with various teams to review Category performance against plan, proposing solutions to close gaps and presenting these at various forums.
  3. Manage and plan the innovation pipeline, make recommendations on product selection, positioning, pricing etc. and influence the Global Brand Marketing team to ensure local needs are met
  4. Develop creative briefs which ensure that innovation is positioned and executed in the optimum way for the UK market and inspire the business to support your launches with the necessary resource
  5. Development of the team to drive for raising the talent capabilities to build a sustainable talent pipeline.
  6. A high level of contact across multiple matrix stakeholder including, demand forecasting, Global Brand Marketing, Campaign/Store planning, Creative, Activation, Supply Chain etc. to ensure the smooth day to day running of the category

The position will manage up to 3 direct reports, including a Category Planner and Coordinator and will ensure all work is carried out on time and in line with the brochure schedules.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Strong, demonstrable commercial Marketing experience within a brand management or category planning related role (ideally within the beauty or cosmetics industry).
  • A confident and persuasive communication style with the ability to analyse data and draw conclusions and suggestions from it.
  • The ability to form strong relationships across multiple functions and geographies, influencing beyond the immediate team.

  1. The ability to be flexible and adaptive a fast paced, complex environment with challenging deadlines/schedules.
  2. Detailed knowledge of market trends and competitor strategies in order to develop superior strategies and plans for your category
  3. Good working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas etc…) and PowerPoint.
