Job Description

Objectives

  • Provide direction and leadership for the department, work closely with the Global Head of E-Commerce and business leaders, to develop strategic annual plans to achieve KPIs.
  • Maintain high performance levels by leading and managing a team across multiple European locations.
  • Explore and recommend new business E-Commerce opportunities to drive incremental revenue across Europe.
  • Fully understand and leverage current digital marketing platforms via tight integration with multiple business units.
  • Partner with the wider Sales teams to ensure growth of brands E-commerce channel.
  • Create and deliver the commercial vision of the brands B2B Strategy for Europe. Manage and fully accountable for the ecommerce budgets and track and present results on ROI.
  • Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce and communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into eCommerce projects.
  • Build and manage a cohesive team of external 3rd party agencies to effectively develop eCommerce solutions.
  • Drive process innovation in all areas of e-Commerce operations in order to exceed customer expectations while building efficiencies and scale across the business.
  • Build revenue optimisation plans by key products, working closely with the product management team to understand customer segments, online opportunities to reach these customers, and specific product functionality

The Successful Applicant

Education:

  • Educated to Master/Degree level (or equivalent) preferably in a Marketing or related discipline.

Minimum Experience:

  • Extensive experience within B2B or B2C online strategies operating within a Multi channeled organisation.
  • Extensive, proven experience in Sales Strategy and Operations, or Internet Operations/Sales.
  • Sophisticated understanding of customer marketing in the context of online transactional websites and mobile applications.
  • Experience defining and rolling out systems, processes and organisation design.
  • Must have managerial experience, supervising and mentoring a high performing team, both locally and remotely.
  • Extensive eCommerce experience gained within a commercial sales business, ideally with both B2B and B2C components to the business
  • Must be able to demonstrate a successful track record growing eCommerce revenues.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Demonstrate thorough, well-researched decisions that are compatible with overall goals and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to influence and collaborate across all levels of a Company.
  • Ability to provide and present supportive data and vital information in an organised, succinct, and concise manner.
  • Experience in managing and delivering large, complex projects.
  • Must understand sales strategies and strong knowledge of internet distribution space.
  • Excellent understanding of industry standards, new technologies and latest advances in Internet Marketing.
  • Deep knowledge of online measurement, tracking methods and analysis.
  • Experience establishing and managing budgets and proven ROI.
