Job Description

The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Participate actively, from origination to closing, in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities (financial analysis/ modelling, valuation, structuring, due diligence, benchmarking, etc.).
  • Create and/ or update financial models to value projects (using a range of valuation techniques), produce sensitivities/ scenarios, calculate project returns, and interpret cash flow projections to understand risks, valuation range, and debt sizing;
  • Assist and lead in the preparation of investment files to be submitted to the Board of Directors;
  • Analyse financial and operational performance of existing projects by comparing plans and forecasts with actual results;
  • Support management and other team members in the financial affairs of the Company (follow-up on the budget, participate in the reporting process of the Company, monitor on-going projects and operational performance, and other ad-hoc industry analyses to support project development);
  • Develop and prepare financial and operational KPI reporting;
  • Create high quality client facing presentations and documents that clearly and concisely outline key conclusions, model outputs, etc.;
  • Work effectively with other team members, senior management, external advisors, clients, partners, and others.

The Successful Applicant

About you:

  • Excellent academic records with a relevant degree from a top UK university, preferably in maths/ engineering;
  • ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities;
  • Strong financial modelling skills in Excel;
  • Good understanding of accounting and tax matters, preferably with experience in project development in a project finance environment;
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant technical experience gained in a financial analysis function within a corporate or equivalent
  • Compelling written and oral communication skills.
