Job Description

The Professional Services Manager is an integral position within the organisation, working closely internally with Sales, Product Support, Product Management, and Customer Success and externally with Financial Reporting Managers, Directors, and Controllers of companies. This position is responsible for customer project management, structured data modeling, mapping, tagging and review of customer tagging projects. A key responsibility is to ensure the highest quality customer filings and ensure financial excellence for the business.

  • Maintain management responsibility for multiple iXBRL client engagements in the UK.
  • Be the expert in the UK; share knowledge of filing requirements, accounting standards, iXBRL with clients and US counterparts.
  • Help product managers in improving our product, with your financial expertise and creative ideas.
  • Review financial statements to gain an understanding of the accounting policies to map, model, and tag clients statements for iXBRL.
  • Respond to clients and internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding customer issues and/or inquiries.
  • Manage issue resolution or assist client as appropriate depending on the type of engagement.
  • Provide all stakeholders, both senior and customer, with updates and trend information that impact areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain and keep up to date thorough knowledge of taxonomies, regulations, and accounting changes.
  • Provide client training, presentations and information on iXBRL and Wdesk application.
  • Work closely with Workiva customer support team members.
  • Open to learning U.S. GAAP and XBRL requirements for the U.S.

The role will be based in central London.

The Successful Applicant

As the successful candidate, you will be an expert in Financial Reporting and be passionate to join a fast-growth, entrepreneurial business starting up in the UK. You most likely will have a degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance from a top ranking university, and have qualified with your ACA qualification from one of the Top 10 Accountancy practices, with experience with HMRC, UK GAAP and EU-IFRS. You will have received high performance ratings throughout your time in Practice and be very comfortable in situations of leadership, teamwork and providing creative solutions to client's problems and needs. You will be someone who is easily able to manage multiple deadlines and used to dealing with a variety of onshore and offshore stakeholders. You will be comfortable in a collaborative, supportive and fast-paced environment where you will be part of a high-performing team driving into a new market.
