The role as Senior Internal Auditor will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to progress their career within the firm.

Job Description

As Senior Internal Auditor the job role will involve:-

  • Assisting and advising the client service management team on the formulation of audit strategy and planning.
  • Providing advise to audit and/or client management.
  • Leading and supervising an audit team, allocating work to team members and ensuring the team complete in a timely manner.
  • Providing on the job training to assistants.
  • Managing and controlling audit assignments from planning through to finalisation of reports in line with agreed timescales.
  • Considering the needs and skills of those under supervision organising tasks and responsibilities.
  • Managing and/or participating in the programme of formal and on-the-job training/development of internal auditors/trainee internal auditors.
  • Assisting with business development, selling the service internally and working with internal audit colleagues in other offices.
  • Reviewing the work of others and providing informal feedback throughout the fieldwork stage.
  • Acting as a point of contact for both manager and client, ensuring both are kept fully informed of any issues arising and the progress of the audit.
  • Building strong working relationships with the client, ensuring any problems or requests are dealt with promptly.
  • Ensuring that clients are billed according to billing plans agreed with clients.
  • The role holder will show vision and strategic perspective and is focused on the achievement of longer term goals.
  • Taking control by guiding and coaching others to the objective.
  • Maintaining control and stability under pressure whilst recognising the deadline or urgency to be dealt with.
  • Responding to the needs of the client and staff.
  • Making confident and clear presentations of service features and benefits to clients.
  • Ensuring that the services provided are genuinely appropriate for the client.
  • Seeing opportunities and prospects for new work.

The Successful Applicant

To be put forward for consideration a prospective candidate must be a qualified accountant with IIA, ACA/ACCA or equivalent.

  • As this position involves client contact, the person must be able to present a professional image to the firm's clients.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills required.
  • Desire to help grow and develop the department.
  • Ability to develop new initiatives and methodologies.
  • Ability to identify issues thought sound analysis and application of commercial acumen in all situations.
  • Ability to express ideas with authority and conviction throughout verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to develop self and others.

What's on Offer

£35,000-40,000 basic with an excellent package on top. My client is well known in providing career progression to deserving employees.
