About Our Client
Our Building and construction client based close to Guildford is looking for an expereinced Land Manager to step into a senior role under the Land Director.
They are one of the UK's leading housebuilders built up from over 30 years experience. Based in modern offices close to local amenities they cover a wide geographical area as far west as Reading and Chichester, down across the South coast and up across the north of London and Homes Counties to Dover in the East.
Their business plan for the coming couple of years has provisions for up to 12 sites per year and they will expect the new Senior Land Manager to come into the business and lead by example, acquiring sites and leading the team, aiding their development in acquiring sites as well.
The Senior Land Manager - Land Acquisition and Management role in Guildford is available immediately to the right candidate.
You will need to have a good level of tenacity and commitment as well as passion for the industry. The Land Director will be looking at more strategic opportunities, therefore level of autonomy will be high in this role.
The position for the Senior Land Manager is going to require the selected individual to complete the following duties:
- Sourcing and acquiring sites across your region
- Leading / Developing Land Buyers in your team
- Pushing potential sites through planning stages
- Attending pre-planning application meetings
- Meeting with all site staff during pre-construction stages on site
- Overseeing and updating drawings and completing handover to site/construction staff
The Successful Applicant
Senior Land Manager - Land Acquisition and Management role will ideally suit a rounded Land Manager with a broad skill set.
You will need to have the drive and passion to complete your own acquisitions as well as helping a more junior team with their acquisition process as well.
You should be looking to find and acquire between 4 and 6 sites per year individually and be looking to drive your team to take on approx 12 sites per year.
The selected individual will need to have an excellent attitude towards land buying and team management, being able to show previous experience motivating a small team and helping them achieve their targets.
