About Our Client
My client is an international FMCG brand boasting a range of electronics products sold across the EMEA region and with new US growth plans. Currently at £400m T/O they are stable and performing well with a consistent client base across Europe. Within their new growth plans they have restructured the finance team and are looking to bring in a Senior Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller whilst leading the management reporting team.
As the Senior Management Accountant you will be tasked with managing a team of 3 (1 qualified and 2 part-qualified management accountants), driving the management reporting, and supporting the financial controller with key performance insight. Your key responsibilities will include:
-Control of the month end process through to close with review of the teams work
-Driving process improvements and efficiencies to reduce timescales and increase accuracy
-Ownership for the board pack preparation and presentation with key insights
-Preparation of annual budgets with key stakeholders
-Leading key variance reporting with analysis on Y2Y and YTD performance
-Ad hoc reporting as requested by the FC and CFO.
The Successful Applicant
As a strong applicant for the senior management accountant role you will:
-Be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with a strong academic profile
-Demonstrate month end reporting and control of the process
-Show strong leadership skills, ideally in a previous management role
-Possess a commercial acumen and show a track record of driving improvements and efficiencies
-Prior exposure to a high volume, fast-paced environment (retail/fmcg) is advantageous
What's on Offer
The offer to the successful senior management accountant will be between £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience plus a comprehensive benefits package. Additionally, joining in a management position will provide you with access to the company's training and development programme for future senior leaders.
