Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the accounts of the various European entities. You will have regular interaction with the Managing Directors of the assigned offices.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Manage each entities balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and that all accounts are understood and reconciled each month;
  • Manage month-end closes and ensure that deadlines are met, ensuring that the "EUROPE close schedule" is followed, all month end Dynamics processes are run and signed off and that a monthly managements file is produced containing all supporting documentation. Produce draft P&L's & Balance Sheets timely and accurately;
  • Ensure that monthly results are communicated effectively to the relevant MD's and that appropriate schedules/reports are shared with external accountants;
  • Ensure that Inter-company reconciliations are maintained each month and are accurate;
  • Review weekly cash flows for each entity and work with the European Finance Director to ensure that aged debts are collected in a timely basis;
  • Ensure that statutory accounts and tax returns are produced in a timely and accurate fashion;
  • Managing local banking relationships. Ensure company policy related to signature levels is being complied with.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will need to be an ambitious and confident individual. You will need to be willing to challenge the existing practices and implement change. You will also need the following:

  • Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA
  • Full ownership of the management account process
  • Experience with both cost focused and revenue focused accounts
