Is a leading international law firm advising financial, institutional, business and

private clients around the world on the laws of the Cayman Islands, Ireland and the British Virgin

Islands. The firm's affiliated FS organisation, provides specialised fiduciary, accounting and

administration services to corporate, finance and investment funds entities. The group comprises

more than 1100 staff in 12 offices worldwide.

Job Description

Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not

limited to:

  • Proactively encouraging and managing lawyer involvement in marketing activities by clearly
  • communicating the value and rationale of various active or proposed strategies and initiatives.
  • Creating and delivering best in class and forward-thinking marketing solutions to position the
  • London and Dubai offices as premier service providers: identifying, evaluating and quantifying
  • marketing opportunities.
  • Pursuing strategic business development activities including targeted market research, trends
  • identification and database analysis, assisting with pitches, leveraging cross-selling opportunities
  • and communicating results to build a case for a particular strategy or approach.
  • Being accountable and responsible for marketing budgets and plans as well as the setting up of
  • effective metrics.
  • Liaising with marketing representatives across the Maples group to identify cross-selling
  • initiatives, to share best practice and to ensure that there is consistency and coordination of all
  • business development and marketing efforts.
  • Mentoring and providing direction to the broader London marketing team to expand their skills
  • and knowledge both in respect of marketing and in the development of a comprehensive
  • understanding of the firm's offering.
  • Managing the production and distribution of the firm's client updates, press releases, brochures,
  • newsletters and any other marketing collateral, as required, in line with the firm's brand guidelines
  • and approved processes. This would also include liaising with and managing journalist
  • relationships from relevant publications.
  • Planning and coordination of all aspects of events including, but not limited to, conference
  • sponsorship, seminars, corporate hospitality and executive dinners.
  • Coordinating awards submissions, firm-wide surveys and post-awards media.
  • Liaising with and coordinating London and Dubai offices in relation to key directory submissions,
  • including drafting submissions and gathering key deal information.

The Successful Applicant

Skills and Experience

  • The successful candidate will be a self-starter and team player in equal measure. They will be ambitious,
  • positive and energetic. Highly organised with very strong attention to detail, the candidate will be capable
  • of influencing all levels of staff. The individual will have excellent communication skills demonstrating the
  • confidence to engage effectively and credibly with busy individuals at a senior level. A high degree of
  • competency and the ability to handle a challenging and varied workload is essential. The individual's
  • skills and experience will include:
  • Marketing/Communications degree or other relevant marketing qualification.
  • Minimum 5+ years' relevant marketing experience (professional services experience preferred).
  • Proven strategic and creative ability.
  • Excellent project, organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to inspire, lead and influence thinking.
  • Proven team management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with InterAction or a similar customer relationship management database would be
  • an advantage.
  • Experience of email marketing software package Tikit or similar would be an asset.
