Job Description

1.Support the Campaign Manager in delivering all marketing/project initiatives across relevant marketing channels to support yearly business plans

2. Working in an integrated manner with the broader marketing team to achieve defined plans

3. Contribute to the development of the annual Marketing strategy and plans

4. Manage individual campaigns and project requirements ensuring continual improvement in terms of brand, message, process, communication effectiveness and cost

5. Employ proven marketing techniques to devise innovative marketing initiatives

6. Identify and test campaigns within core marketing channels

7. Identify and test the implementation of new marketing channels

8. Support the Campaign Manager in developing and progressing proposals/pitches/presentations in line with wider business plan objectives

9. Project manage tactical and strategic marketing initiatives that require business wide support in line with the 3 year business plan.

10. Manage elements of the marketing budget, providing timely reconciliation and re-forecast to the Campaign Manager, ensuring maximum return on expenditure

11. Develop and manage own quarterly marketing plans and work loads

12. Regularly monitor management information and campaign results, and provide monthly, quarterly and annual evaluations with recommendations to the Campaign Manager

13. Follow defined procedures, and continuously improve to ensure best practice processes

14. Work closely with internal departments to raise the team profile, forge strong working relationships and drive relevant briefings and training to assist with the smooth roll out of marketing campaign/project activity

15. Work with suppliers on a day to day basis, working largely independently to scope briefs, manage agency pitch processes and proactively manage supplier relationships. Includes regular agency reviews.

16. Act as a senior support to all executives in the team

17. Deputise for and support the Campaign Manager and the Senior Marketing Manager

18. Champion the brand by ensuring all communications both internally and externally reflect the brand guidelines

19. Ensure all communications comply with FSA regulation and TCF where required and approvals are documented with appropriate audit trails

20. Implement ad hoc projects as directed by the Campaign Manager or the Senior Marketing Manager

21. Ensure good relationships are maintained with all colleagues, effectively working as part of a team by being prepared to be flexible and work in the best interests of the Society

22. Undertake reasonable duties as required by the Society

23. Work in accordance with the Society values

The Successful Applicant


 Educated to A' level or equivalent

Proven Ability

 Significant experience working within a marketing role/environment and contribution to Direct Marketing strategy and plans

 Development and account management of marketing partnerships across a range of sectors, including plans, campaigns and evaluation/profitability of each partnership

 Successful campaign implementation and management across the full range of direct marketing channels

 Working within a fast paced dynamic environment

 Managing people either directly or indirectly to achieve campaign and project deadlines

 Monitoring campaign performance daily providing timely MI updates against targets and recommendations to improve performance both in life and for future campaigns

 Following defined campaign management procedures

 Budget management and understanding of associated marketing channel costs

 Ability to work with and engage key stakeholders internally and externally to achieve campaign implementation

What's on Offer

12 month contract paying a salary up to £26.5k.
