Job Description

Senior MI platform design analyst;

As part of the role they will facilitate development of current system functionality and work to improve the collation and dissemination of MI which meets the needs on stakeholders. They will identify good practice, trends and escalate issues as they arise, providing clear recommendations for change.

In addition to MI development they will maintain and improve the current approach to QA of authorisation applications. This includes co-ordinating the QA process, analysing and communicating outputs and refining the process where relevant.

The successful candidate will be integral in supporting the development and implementation of key operational frameworks that support better planning, prioritisation and resource management within Authorisations.

  • Project manage delivery of outputs;
  • Implement and enhance agreed risk governance framework (horizon scanning);
  • Create planning and resource tools and templates;
  • Create display of planned activity (Milestone planner) & communicate.

Whilst a significant proportion of their role will be managing the MI, QA and planning frameworks they will also provide key support on other operational activities such as co-ordinating the capture of current system enhancement requirements and escalating these as required, co-ordinating and monitoring business plan delivery and maintaining the training framework which will include identifying requirements, producing templates to capture relevant materials, establishing a platform to hold up to date materials and providing on-going quality review and maintenance.

The Successful Applicant

Senior MI platform design analyst must show;

  • They can proactively assess workloads, effectively prioritise actions required and identify issues, provide solutions and influence required outcomes. They can flexibly manage competing demands with little or no support from management.
  • Supports decision making through provision of appropriate recommendations within a financial services setting.
  • Escalates appropriately and is able to assess and judge operational risk, where necessary providing appropriate challenge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills and knowledge of banking.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and translate these into operationally viable solutions for the business;
  • Experience of supporting on projects / initiatives and ability to manage business needs;
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies with regard to Management Information;
  • Understanding of quality assurance concepts and approaches; and
  • Expert computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases Excellent presentation skills
  • Expert ability to create and sustain effective working relationships. Clear strengths are displayed when engaging with stakeholders and they are able to influence outcomes.
  • Experience delivering difficult or challenging messages to internal / external senior management.
