About Our Client

Our client is a well established independent company which has rapidly grown into a leading multimillion pound market leader. A British heritage focused brand, they are renowned for the design and innovation of their ever expanding product range. Their international brand presence has experienced unprecedented growth with strong high street, concession, wholesale and online revenue streams. They are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable National Account Manager with a genuine passion for fashion.

Job Description

The right candidate will be highly visible within the industry and the driving force behind the brand with the confidence to manage commercial relationships whilst identifying new opportunities. Reporting into the MD, you will be responsible for a team of 2, concentrating on the development of the brand and working closely with senior buyers and company owners. Joining at a time of growth and progression, focus will be on sales but you will be a main contributor to all areas of the company.

With full responsibility for P&L of accounts across all categories, you will develop and implement a strategic business plan for your team whilst assisting in managing the wholesale process.

Passion and brand identity are fundamental to the success of the candidate, brand image must be respected and considered at all times when working with current accounts and evaluating potential opportunities to reflect the international identity and presence of the brand.

Product development responsibilities will fall to you, building a close working relationship with the creative director and team and attending all key product development meetings, you will be feeding in market analysis and observations from yourself and your team.

National travel will be required.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5 years account management experience at a national level with a premium fashion brand
  • Solid experience of working with major department stores and upmarket independents
  • Experience and working knowledge of managing the wholesale process
  • Solid understanding of the current retail and fashion climate
  • Personable, energetic and outgoing personality with the ability to show genuine brand passion and evoke within others
  • Confidence in negotiating and influencing
  • Astute analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
