Job Description

The Senior Paralegal role will be supporting 4 lawyers within the UK & N/S Europe legal team and 2 lawyers within the enterprise legal team. The number of lawyers in these teams and the teams themselves may evolve over time. This role is designed to support legal counsel, geared towards ensuring a positive (internal and external) customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:


Preparation: A range of tasks to support opening phases of a project, such as:

  • Using standard NDA template to provide NDAs to new customers / reviewing third party NDA templates.
  • Preparing first draft MSA agreements based on legal request form using standard templates (Tool:Qvidian/Word).
    • Preparing amendment agreements
    • Preparing other type of contracts as and when required (for example, local services agreements).

Finalisation: A range of tasks to support closing phases of a transaction, such as:

  • Co-ordination with affiliates of the group and other partner companies and associations to complete allocated contract related tasks.
  • Preparing execution versions of contracts, cross-checking documents, and document imaging/scanning.
  • Assisting with the approval process (approval form) and, once fully signed, loading the signed contract onto contract databases.

Administration: A range of tasks to support the evolving needs of the company, such as:

  • Document collation, version control and document review.
  • Using final Word version to produce a searchable PDF version to be loaded into contract database (Refco) with the signed contract.
  • Database creation, entry, searching and maintenance.
  • Hard copy document management.
  • Liaising with other internal departments (Sales Operations) on contract queries, request for contract copies and any other ad hoc tasks in relation to the contract process.


  • Assisting regional lawyers with tasks in relation to company secretarial matters, liaising with internal teams and external lawyers to ensure proper process is followed (e.g. preparing board meetings and minutes, paperwork in relation to appointment/termination of directors, finance matters, POAs, etc).
  • Ensuring updates relating to the companies' registers are put on the corporate database.

General Administration:

  • Filing contracts (including sourcing contracts) in the office.
  • Organising and liaising with directors to get contracts and other documents signed and ensuring all approvals are in place beforehand.
  • Raising POs (Tool: Oracle), liaising with outside counsel regarding any invoice queries. Keeping a log of all expenditure.
  • Formatting documents (including new or amended product templates), ensuring they meet the current standards, distributing to the wider legal team and publishing them on sharepoint, Axiome and local legal drive (as well as updating the master list).
  • Any other ad hoc administrative tasks as and when required (e.g. booking travel, meetings, sending couriers, setting up video conferences, etc).

Knowledge Sharing:

  • Contribute to improvement of best practices and experience sharing through internal collaboration tools.


  • When required, contribute to appropriate management reporting dashboards.

The Successful Applicant

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Experienced senior Paralegal with a minimum of three (3) years of in-house experience (preferably in the telecommunications or IT industry).
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Fluency in either French or another European language would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience in commercial contracts (particularly in cross-cultural, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional contracts is highly desirable).
  • A willingness to be a key team player with a can-do attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to network and build good relationships across all of the departments in the UK and internationally.
  • Ability to follow instructions precisely and give clear directions to other team members and departments.
  • Highly organised in themselves and the ability to help other members of the team be organised.
  • Flexible in approach and methodology of work. Willingness to continually strive for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Individual must be happy to work alone and in a busy team environment. He/she will need to be self-motivated and driven to help achieve their individual and team goals.

Educational Requirements:

LLB or equivalent law degree from a reputable law school or University
