About Our Client
My client a leading manufacturing business based in Northampton work within a matrix environment, the successful candidate will gain great exposure to a huge range of projects, business stakeholders, suppliers and wider business streams.
Due to ongoing growth within the business, now is the right time to get involved with a global blue chip manufacturer that offer progression by the plenty!
As a Procurement Business Analyst, your time will predominantly be split between data analytics, sourcing projects, and stakeholder engagement. This will involve:
*Maintaining excellent knowledge of available internal and external data.
*Efficiently supporting the spend and information gathering process by working with the Sourcing Manager, suppliers and third parties (e.g. research agencies).
*Supporting the analysis of tender responses and evaluation process by demonstrating insights and findings and supporting the project team in bidder clarification discussions based on insights and findings.
*Ensuring insights and findings are concisely articulated back to the project team. Preparing reliable and accurate data analysis for clarification meetings.
*Identifying key insightful findings in order to prepare a comprehensive category profile.
*Supporting the development of sourcing recommendations, by providing commercial analysis of final costs verses budgets and baseline outlined in sourcing strategy, and evidencing what additional business value has been enabled.
*With support, developing appropriate commercial models and pricing templates/ bid sheets for each sourcing initiative either using existing templates, building on existing models or creating new models.
*Regularly engaging with stakeholders to elicit information and define scope of analysis. Providing support to internal and external (supplier) meetings to explain data analysis as requested.
*Preparing presentation and relevant documentation and contribute to key formal documentation.
*On one-to-many basis verbally communicate information relating to related area of responsibility.
The Successful Applicant
This role requires you to work of your own initiative. You will have a proven strong analytical mind set and proven ability to work well under pressure. In addition, the successful candidate must possess Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, v look ups / Macro) as well as either a relevant degree or some relevant commercial experience. You will be self-sufficient, hold strong communication / stakeholder engagement skills, and be able to prioritise/multitask to produce required deliverable efficiently.
We are looking for someone who is ready for this diverse and challenging role. You will have the ability to influence and engage senior management through excellent verbal and written communication skills whilst paying attention to detail.Key to this role is also the ability to isolate key issues and draw sound conclusions from various sources of information.
