Our client is one of the leading practices in the UK and has a global presence in the Building and Construction sector. They work with occupiers, investors and developers of office, industrial and logistic, residential, retail and hotel property.

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a number of projects around the UK for a number of global corporate businesses. There is also the opportunity for European travel every so often. They will be based either out of the office in West Yorkshire and will be required to travel nationally. They will be responsible for the following:

-Monitoring the project process and ensuring project plans and deadlines are met
-Checking quality standards and ensuring these are adhered to
-Implementation of Company Specification to ensure a uniform standard to all projects
-Managing relationships with the client, contractors and suppliers
-Preparing tender packs and negotiating with main contractors
-Ensuring our sites have the highest standards of Health & safety at all times
-The ability to quickly resolve issues to ensure deadlines are not jeopardised and projects continue to progress
-Hold weekly site meetings and produce site meeting minutes to chart construction progress
-Controlling the project budgets and management of additional costs when required
-Building relationships with clients
-Generation of new business
-Expected to generate fees

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Senior Project Manager will ideally be based in the West Yorkshire region as this is where the regional office is based, the Senior Project Manager will be prepared to travel nationally and on some occasions to Europe. They will have previous experience within a commercial environment managing a number of refurbishment and fit-out projects, they will have experience working for a Contractor. They will also have the following:

-Experience in interiors is a must
-Experience managing multi million pound refurbishment and fit-out projects previously -Degree level qualified
-Chartered status either MRICS/ICIOB or Project management qualification (APMP)
-Good understanding of contracts - JCT and NEC
-Experience in generating fees previously
-Experience in managing roll out programmes
-Excellent communicator
-Good time keeping record
-Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
-Experience in a fast paced, quick turn around environment ~
-Experience co-ordinating and a good understanding of M+E and fabrics
-They will ideally have Contractor, Client or Consultancy side Project Management experience
