Job Description

Create and implement a Quality Management System including; quality policies, procedures, standards and specifications with a view to achieving LRQA accreditation in the future.

Conduct audits of the end to end supply chain, to ensure complete transparency, traceability and assurance of specifications being met.

Review customer requirements and make sure they are delighted by our quality.

Ensure the manufacturing or production processes not only meet but go beyond the international/national standards and regulations by implementing world class QC processes, aligned with HSE, legal, PFMA etc.

Ownership of the QC and testing process from end to end ensuring we can guarantee what it says on the outside is genuinely on the inside.

Building a close working relationship with our Supply Chain and Product Development teams to establish quality requirements from external suppliers, reviewing specifications and artwork to ensure compliance;

Own the hold and release process and decision making for the entire business.

Set standards for quality as well as health and safety.

Set up and maintain controls for change management through documentation and procedures

The Successful Applicant

Track record of quality/technical management in a food environment.

Experience of developing quality systems/processes.

Project management ability as will be working closely with NPD.

Excellent communication skills at all levels of a business.

Ideally degree/HND qualified in a food discipline.

Experience of working in an SME/high growth business would be advantageous.
