Job Description

The Senior Sales Quality Manager will first and foremost be a man manager and tasked with overseeing the day-to-day management of the wider Quality & Wealth Risk & Procedures Team. The business stretches across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man business so tailoring communication style will be key. Other responsibilities will include -

  • Lead and support the wealth related reviews and control checks to manage and mitigate Risk in the business
  • Attached risk management committee meetings as secretary
  • Support the implementation and on-going development of the wider risk framework
  • Support on-going development of the team and wider risk function
  • Oversight of risk based reviews on team procedures ensuring that all activity conducted by the team is appropriately covered

The Successful Applicant

Based in Jersey in the Channel Islands, the successful Senior Sales Quality Manager applicant will reside on island, or be looking to relocate to the offshore jurisdiction. More information about schooling, tax, work/life balance, etc is available through our specialist team. Other areas of expertise should include:

  • product knowledge and experience of investment and core banking products/services and operating systems
  • Role relevant qualifications, i.e. CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
  • Experience working in relevant market/context, i.e. A comprehensive understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes is desirable but not essential
  • Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Manager or Team leader is desirable but not essential
  • A track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanism necessary to successfully implement change
  • A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and others
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
  • A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications
  • A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analysing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting
