About Our Client

My client is an ambitious IT organisation, due to continued growth they are seeking a permanent Service Desk Analyst to join their established support function in Poole.

Job Description

The successful Service Desk Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Answering all service desk support requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Logging all phone calls, voicemails and emails into the service desk system
  • Owning all issues logged from initial conversation through to resolution, ensuring the customer is kept informed of any developments
  • Escalating to second line support staff where necessary
  • Providing 1st line support to all customer queries
  • Analysing service desk performance and suggesting areas for improvement where appropriate
  • Maintaining up to date information and documentation

The Successful Applicant

The successful Service Desk Analyst will possess:

  • Patience and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical language for non-technical people
  • Sound IT skills
  • Analytical mind and strong problem solving abilities
  • Strong work ethic
  • Experience in an IT support environment or relevant education
  • Experience working with Telephony solutions (desirable)
