Job Description

  • Working with senior management to provide management information, financial and business insight to aid business decisions.
  • Production of monthly , quarterly and annual company accounts to include a profit and loss, balance sheet, operating cash flow statements and capital expenditure.
  • Improve the reporting to to better measure the performance of the businesses against budget, forecast and prior year across product lines.
  • Perform monthly and ad hoc analytical reviews to operational performance, revenues, inventory and projects with the view to; understand and explain variances to Budget/ Forecast; identify unusual items and bring them to management's attention; analyse and monitor key risk areas where attention is needed

  • Complete the relevant local forecasts and budgets and provide support to the FP&A Manager as required, to ensure forecasts and budgets are delivered on time and complete and are well-considered and understood and are in line with business strategic plans.

  • Develop a rigorous balance sheet reconciliation process that produces a complete reconciliation for each account monthly, driving improvements in quality and timeliness.

  • Maintain and control GL and posting to GL, including where necessary the addition and removal of accounts to ensure that the list remains appropriate to the proper understanding of the financial transactions of the business

  • Develop financial models and provide information to the cost centre managers to enable them to monitor and manage their own budgets, to include a monthly review of their budgets.

  • Provide information to the relevant managers to enable them to monitor and manage their own budgets, to include where necessary assistance to allow them to better understand and so control their areas of spend

The Successful Applicant

  • Fully Qualified accountant
  • Strong track record within a a manufacturing environment
  • Motivated, dedicated and pro-active member of the team supporting the furthering of the standards of the department and finding solutions that fit the business, with a commitment to getting the job done.
  • Diligent, enthusiastic, and driven, with an excellent work ethic, and a "can do" attitude.
  • Hands on manager that is meticulous with the detail, and is comfortable with dealing with large bodies of data.
  • Good interpersonal skills and understanding of organisations, being able to clearly explain financial information and terminology to non-technical parties and to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with external parties such as auditors.
  • Able to cope with change and conflicting demands.
  • Good personal time management and priority setting, and comfortable working to deadlines

What's on Offer

Basic salary between £55,000 and £65,000 plus bonus and benefits
