About Our Client

This interior fit out contractor designs, manufactures and installs furniture and fittings across a range of sectors including health, education and commercial. Turnover is increasing year on year and is now over £14million. The contractor works nationwide and has dedicated site managers for each region on projects up to £4.5 million.

Job Description

The successful site manager will be required to oversee all site operations by keeping a close eye on programme and site supervisors. The site manager will be the leader on site and have to assess the performance of the installation teams and maintain strong relationships with the clients which tend to be large main contractors.

The crucial element of the role will be to accurately communicate progress and all issues with the allocated project manager to ensure the smooth running of the project.

The Successful Applicant

The site manager will:

  • have managed sites where at least 20 people are under their supervision.
  • be from a shop fit and ideally joinery background.
  • be SMSTS qualified.
  • be familiar with liaising with main contractors
  • have excellent communication skills.
  • be a problem solver on site and have the drive to get a project completed on time and within budget.

Salary of £35000-£45000 depending on experience.
