Job Description

  • Develop innovative architectures and business processes that are cohesive, fit for purpose and ensure cost effective delivery of the relevant IT strategy and business priorities.
  • Ensure IT contribution is made to continuous improvement and the driving of business process improvement in support of business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain, architectures, frameworks and roadmaps that deliver the strategic IT goals and business priorities.
  • Provide solution/technology oversight and advice to ensure compliance of programmes to architectural standards and roadmaps, escalating potential non-compliance issues to appropriate governance forum.
  • Assess emerging industry trends and anticipate and develop potential strategic IT solutions to exploit for business benefit within governance processes.
  • Develop portfolio plans and ensure investment cases support architectures and roadmaps.
  • Contribute to IT strategy processes and ensure that process such as end to end investment and portfolio planning and innovation exploitation are fully supported.
  • Provide advisory and consulting to business, IT, external stakeholders and act as a key interface to suppliers, particularly IT outsource supplier.
  • Assist in the development and execution of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of IT within organisation and comply with technical and industry/regulatory standards.

The Successful Applicant

Essential:

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent
  • Previous experience of development of large scale, pragmatic, business centric architectural solutions to solve critical business challenges.
  • Previous experience of defining architectural direction and harnessing innovation for business benefit.
  • Previous experience of building, maintaining and influencing relationships with a range of senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with other stakeholders.
  • Previous experience of handling and distilling complex, diverse and conflicting demands into credible contextual architectures, roadmaps and investment plans.



Desirable:

  • Application of alternative industry approaches and solutions in an innovative manner.
