Job Description

This role will have responsibility to:

  • Have a clear understanding what stores need in the form of communication to help ensure the correct implementation of seasonal layouts in order to maximise sales and to support the customer experience
  • Ensure a strong relationship with retail implementation team to ensure the business understands the needs of the stores in terms of communication and décor
  • Deliver seasonal policy documents on time and to a high standard. Continually challenge the way we do things for more effective communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our colleagues in the both the Everyday and Christmas teams (range managers) to ensure they deliver seasonal layouts and supporting information on time
  • Use insight from stores, retail implementation team and the consumer to work with range managers and assess best practice principles by grade for layout and product flow
  • Use best practice alongside other areas of the business to challenge costs and construction of merchandising solutions
  • Understand décor requirements of stores both adhoc and seasonally. Responsible for seasonal décor distribution lists
  • Utilise all communication channels to ensure the business need for communication is heard by stores and liaise with the relevant marketing departments
  • Demonstrate the values of the marketing team; to be consumer focused, share knowledge and understanding to our colleagues, and reinforce the culture of consumer at the heart of all we do
  • Be a team player and work with colleagues in the marketing team to support where required; purchase orders, samples, trials, décor etc

This role is specifically accountable for planning, organising and delivering communication to stores to ensure implementation is correct, strong and consequently sales are maximised. Be the expert in communications to stores, continually looking for ways to enhance the messages

  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstration of a 'can-do' attitude in terms of consistently delivering to high standards and looking for new ways to improve the status quo
  • Experience of managing/negotiating with external agency/supplier relationships
  • Ability to effectively organise and manage CDP's and schedules in a timely manner
  • Exceptional attention to detail and good copy writing skills
