Job Description

  • Build and grow a client portfolio by using commercial information to identify organisations that have current or future recruitment needs - including global multinationals, rapidly growing SMEs and not-for-profit entities.
  • Initiate contact with potential clients by business development calls, face-to-face meetings, referrals and networking to proactively sell PageGroup.­
  • Identify decision-makers in the hiring process.
  • Attend pitches and meetings with prospective clients.
  • Prioritie assigned leads to focus on those having revenue potential.
  • Maintain and develop existing client relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Work with other disciplines in PageGroup to exchange important business development information and cross sell.
  • Network across your industry sector or specialism to ascertain market trends and growth areas.
  • Consult and engage with clients to understand their needs.
  • Provide advice on and sell the most appropriate solution for attracting the right candidates to a client's business (e.g. database search or running an advertising campaign).
  • Promote our brand and establish commercial terms to maximise revenue generation for each assignment and a broader Preferred Supplier Agreement (PSA) if appropriate.
  • Provide ongoing advice on market conditions, business trends and salary fluctuations within their industry sector.
  • Understand how to provide a better service than our competitors.
  • Present and sell suitable candidates to your client, ensuring they meet their brief as well as their business requirements.
  • Manage the recruitment process from interview to offer stage, balancing excellent service with a positive commercial outcome for all parties - this includes: setting up interviews, giving and receiving feedback, identifying potential problems during the process and negotiating contract terms for successful candidates.
  • Once placed, follow-up and ensure that the placement is successful from their perspective, including asking for a testimonial.
  • Identify and attract potential candidates using all the sourcing tools at your disposal, including using social media, networking, referrals and advertising.
  • Sell the benefits of registering exclusively with PageGroup to secure a new role.
  • Maintain an accurate candidate database so that you and others at PageGroup know who and where potential candidates are and if/when they are available.
  • Interview candidates to gain valuable market information for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Meet with candidates to establish whether they have the right profile and skill set for your client base.
  • Provide advice on market conditions and manage expectations on availability of roles and salary levels etc.
  • Offer advice on candidates' CV and interview techniques.
  • Maintain regular contact to ensure that you are aware of any changing circumstances and any further commercial opportunities.
  • Once placed, follow-up and ensure that the placement is successful, interacting with them as a potential client as well.

The Successful Applicant

  • Work as an integral part of a team, motivating one another, and communicating effectively.
  • Focus collaboratively on the broader day-to-day issues of business development, systems and procedures and training - proactively maximise
  • Internally network to build business relationships and gather information that can be converted into commercial opportunities.
  • Build your own credibility internally to ensure you receive all commercial information from your colleagues to maximise your revenue generation.
  • Communicate business pipeline to your manager.
  • Select candidate CVs and draft suitable interview and assessment notes to add to the database so that the PG team can independently utilise the database for current and future assignments.
  • Partner with clients and the PG accounts department to quickly resolve any issues, and ensure billed revenue is collected within the designated time frame.
  • Collaboratively source and refer high quality PRCs across the business through personal and professional relationships, social media, professional groups, etc. in order to access the largest talent pool possible.
  • Maintain and set standards of excellence within your team.
  • Consistently achieve your KPI targets and revenue generation goals, which will be communicated clearly, and your performance will be measured to ensure you maximise the commercial return on your activities.
