Project values range from circa £250,000 to several million pounds

They also provide specialist bespoke technical support and advice through their in house design team and adopt a thorough account management mentality. As a market leader they have an established UK customer base which includes blue chip main contractors in a wide range of sectors including but not only, Healthcare, Student Accommodation, Care Homes, Residential Apartments, Hotels and Military

Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Director, as Specification Sales Executive you will be primarily responsible for generating new enquiries, cultivating new clients, analysing prospective products and converting potential jobs into successful orders. You will be comfortable working towards sales targets and being responsible for your own lead/client generation.

Working as part of a National Sales Team your duties and responsibilities will include

  • Identification of suitable projects at pre tender stage making contact and arranging meetings with all stakeholders involved; Clients, Architects, specifiers and Main Contractors
  • Managing the sales process from receipt of enquiry, assisting the sales team in reading drawings and interpreting client requirements and being resourceful in accommodating these requests within budget
  • Presenting quotations to the tendering Main Contractors. On award of the project: manage; co-ordinate; and liaise between Designers, Architects, Contractors, and M&E consultants and attending Design Team meetings as required
  • Engaging with Offsite Solutions team ethos (Professional, customer -focused and collaborative with colleagues)

The Successful Applicant

The Specification Sales Executive will have

  • Understanding of the Main Contractor tendering process
  • Proven background in building relationships with the key stakeholders in the specification of products by Clients through to Main Contractors
  • Able to use Glenigans, Barbour ABI or similar to identify suitable projects at tender stage
  • Proven record of providing a value added sales approach
  • Proven background in presenting CPD to Architects and consultants
  • Positive attitude about extensive UK Travel
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Proven active account management record with increase in revenue
  • Strong territory management with the ability to effectively cover the UK and easy commute of Head Office
  • Demonstrable evidence of taking pride and ownership of previous markets
  • A focus on adding value, being a specialist and providing a 1st class service
  • Project Management approach, engaging and influencing all internal stakeholders and taking accountability
