About Our Client

My client is a corporate hospitality management company with Headquarters in the USA and a London regional office. They are an SME in the UK and the successful candidate will ideally have worked in an SME previously.

Job Description

The Standalone HR Manager will report into the HR Director, based in the USA, and have a dotted line into the UK General Manager, based in London.

They will have full responsibility for the UK Human Resources and personnel function. They will work in a standalone capacity and look after the following:

  • Devising a recruitment and onboarding process specific to the UK market
  • Reviewing and adapting the existing employee handbook for a UK client group
  • Handling all employee relations as they arise
  • Reviewing and adapting all training and development tools as required
  • Putting in place talent management and succession planning for the UK
  • Reviewing and implementing a compensation and benefits strategy

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the role of Standalone HR Manager will have:

  • HR generalist experience
  • Experience working in an HR capacity in an SME environment in the UK
  • The ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders across a variety of levels and geographies and to adapt their communication style to differing audiences and personalities
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills
  • The ability to self-motivate
