About Our Client

My client is a global media firm with offices across the globe and home to some of TV's most recognisable brands. This role is incredibly high profile within the business and they are looking for a Strategic Financial Planning Analyst to come on board to help drive the sales and strategy teams forward within their leading news division. The international operations are headquartered in London and comprises commercial, news gathering and productions support functions. There are sales and operations teams located in Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America and it is the role of the Strategic Financial Planning Analyst to drive sales efficiency forward in these locations.

Job Description

Part of the newly formed Commercial division the primary focus of the Strategic Planning team is to provide reporting, insight and analysis to aid decision making for sales team and senior management across the regions in which they operate:

  • Responsible for working directly with efforts sales teams across multiple international markets to quantify weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets relative to budgets and targets.
  • Maintaining underlying Sales data and supporting the regular and ad-hoc reports
  • Assist in the preparation of Budgets and Long Range plans.
  • Ah-hoc projects and analysis for sales teams and management for optimising current and evaluation of revenue streams
  • Development of pricing strategies for programmatic, viewability based advertising along side traditional direct digital advertising sales pricing strategies
  • This position is integral to managing in advertising revenue across TV networks and websites
  • Preparation and analysis of weekly ad forecasts
  • Development of business models and financial forecasts for new advertising and non-advertising initiatives including new content verticals, new sites, brand extensions and strategic partnerships.
  • Consolidation of sponsored content revenues forecasts on both Digital and Linear platforms and associated reporting and analysis

The Successful Applicant

This is a great opportunity and the successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and the following:

  • ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified or equivalent qualification
  • 2 years or more relevant experience in an industry role
  • Excellent academics
  • Research and Analytical mindset
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, ability to prioritise
  • Excellent data analysis, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail orientated
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Interest in news, current affairs and a strong international outlook will be desired.
