Job Description


To own and manage the supplier relationships and performance for spares contract

To be accountable for the inbound supply chain from suppliers, ensuring compliance to our order requirements and the Trading Documents

To deliver excellent OTIF performance, schedule compliance and drive excellent service to support delivering world class business KPIs

Ensure suppliers are set up to deliver A and B parts to the agreed lead time, and drive the quickest possible clearance on C parts to reduce jobs awaiting spares

To proactively monitor and manage potential problems in the supplier base, resolving and/or escalating upwards before they impact service levels

Regularly review the supplier parts profile, ensuring supply chain data is both accurate and optimised to reflect the needs of the business

To take high level direction and customer requirements and be able to interpret and implement into team working practice and processes

Ensuring all supplier arrears have an up-to-date ETA

Availability loss investigation, deeply understand the causes of failure and to actively manage performance improvement

Prompt resolution of items in Operations Inbound Problem resolution or Scrap area, delivering feedback to the supplier to prevent recurrence

Prompt resolution of invoice queries from client finance, working to prevent recurrence

Support the customer service team by delivering prompt status updates and resolution to issues raised by client workshops

Create visibility on performance results on the team Communication Cell

The Successful Applicant

*5+ years supplier management experience in an automotive/Industrial/Retail sector

* Experience of new business operations and/or change management

* Experience of integrating functions to deliver seamless process flows and remove silo activity

* Strong client interface skills, with experience of communicating at a Senior level

* Demonstrable problem solving, delivering significant business benefit

* Project management experience to deliver strategic programme activity
