Global Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices Business based in the Cheshire area, who are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Director.

Job Description

The role of Supply Chain Director, for a Global Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices Business based in Cheshire, will oversee the following:

  • This role is responsible and accountable for overall supply chain management in support of specific International plants and designated contract manufacturers and OEMs.
  • The director will oversee procurement, supply planning, and logistics functions and plan and executes supply chain strategies that meet business unit and geographic demand forecasts and achieve financial and business objectives.
  • Working collaboratively with operations (manufacturing, customer service, and country supply chains) to plan and execute fulfilment strategies measured by core supply chain metrics.
  • Representing International Operations in the execution of global S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes.
  • The role will require a complete review of global supply chain operations with a view of identifying opportunities and delivering them into the organisation. Candidates with greenfield / brownfield experience in this area will be highly desirable.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally, the candidate will have the following background:

  • A broad-based business perspective with a proven record of results
  • Excellent communicator with superior verbal and written skills
  • Ability to inspire and develop people, and motivate/build a high commitment team
  • Good experience in managing a complex regulated manufacturing organisation
  • Evidence of a management style which emphasises vision, vitality, teamwork, communication and commitment
  • Knowledge of enterprise and supply chain systems: MRP/ERP, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • BS/BA Business Administration, Supply Chain and Logistics, engineering or related degree
  • MBA preferred
  • Solid demonstrable experience in supply chain and inventory planning.
  • Direct management experience
  • Manufacturing management experience is essential
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with ability to work across organisational boundaries
  • Experience performing as a strong team player that enjoys a fast paced atmosphere
