About Our Client

My client is a well-established Automotive Supplier

They are enjoying a remarkable period of growth and have an opportunity for a forward thinking, organised and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team.

This is a demanding and varied role requiring a hands-on approach along with an ability to manage a team.

You will need to take a strategic approach, working closely with all stakeholders to ensure that the supply chain is able to fulfil the requirements of a rapidly expanding business.

Job Description

Some of the main responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager are as follows:

-Management and development of the Material Planning Staff (including recruitment, appraisals and training).

-Ensure that part requirements are generated from MRP process and communicated to suppliers in a timely manner by Material Planners.

-Expediting parts identified as shortages, including nonstandard transport, to ensure any disruption to manufacturing is minimised. -Provide management reports and present to Senior Management as required.

-Managing a team to ensure that they are always meeting KPI's

The Successful Applicant

Supply Chain Manager Requirements:

  • Previous experience managing a supply chain team is essential.
  • Experience working with a large amount of SKUs is highly beneficial.
  • Buying to sell experience will be highly beneficial.
  • A minimum of 5 years management experience is highly beneficial
  • A CIPS qualification will be advantageous
