Job Description

  • The candidate should be highly computer literate with knowledge of planning, and with a view to developing the system currently used for planning. A knowledge of the Preactor planning software would be useful but is not essential.
  • The role will have management responsibility, managing, developing and motivating a small team and liaising very closely with other areas of the business.
  • The Role is designed to provide strategic direction to the business to improve short term, medium term and long term planning to ensure that the business delivers excellent customer performance in an effective and efficient way.
  • The candidate would be responsible for developing the Preactor system to the next level as well as effective planning for promotions and events.
  • They would be the main point of contact for the Sales team, working closely with them to make sure that we are using our capacity in the most effective way.

The Successful Applicant

  • Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong and effective influencing skills and comprehensive functional expertise in the supply chain area in the Food Industry.
  • The candidate will have excellent communication skills including having influenced Board level audiences and will also be used to talking to customers on a daily basis. In addition to this we are also looking for someone with a successful history of leading and developing teams.
  • The candidate will demonstrate the ability to take large, complex, data sets and with a detailed knowledge of the sites capability convert them into meaningful information which can be used to drive the business forward.
  • The candidate will also be expected to develop strong relationships at all levels of the business and with external customers

  • Proven track record of relationship building Excellent planner with a hands on can do approach The ability to prioritise workload, meet challenging deadlines and work flexibly to meet business needs Excellent communication and presentation skills Shows desire for future success and aspires to be the best.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Also knowledge of Preactor would be a benefit but is not essential.

  • A degree level qualification, or equivalent is preferable but not essential Advanced planning and management skills and a demonstrable track record
