About Our Client
Our client, based in North West London, are one of the most innovate players in the Consumer Goods sector. They dominate their market and are constantly improving their offering by launching new and exciting products. This is where you come in! With such a huge emphasis on new product introduction, they need someone to come in and project manage the process. This is a fantastic chance to apply Supply Chain knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative environment - and to play a key role in bringing fantastic products to market!
The Supply Chain Project Manager will sit in the middle of the Operations function and project manage new product launches through the end to end Supply Chain. What does this mean? Taking the concept - created by the innovation team - and mapping it through to production and shipment. This covers procurement, inventory and lead times, planning, physical production and QA, and finally shipment to customers.
You will own this roadmap, and engage with the other relevant teams to ensure everything happens when it needs to. You will apply your existing knowledge to build relationships and influence stakeholders, to and ensure these plans are efficient and effective.
The Successful Applicant
What will you need to succeed?
Firstly, the right personality! You will be organised, proactive and a great communicator. You will work robustly (but constructively!) to ensure all actions are taken on time to deliver for the customer.
Secondly, you will have detailed knowledge of what it takes to plan, produce and ship products in a Manufacturing environment. You will consider things like lead times, inventory levels/cash flow, shipping methods etc - to deliver maximum benefit as efficiently as possible.
Thirdly, you will combine all of these skills with project management principles. You will understand roadmaps and critical paths and, while you don't need a qualification (though that would be great!), you will be able to demonstrate delivery of projects.
