Job Description

Management of the Organisation Talent Review (OTR)

This process focuses on career development planning at the highest level, together with succession planning into business-critical roles.

  • Manage the development, communication, execution and continuous improvement of the Organisation Talent Review (OTR) process.
  • Execute the preparation and physical production of confidential OTR data for meetings between executive leaders.Analysis of Talent Data
  • This work provides essential management information about the state of the organisation to senior leaders, enabling strategic-level debate about future directions.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of employee data to identify demographic trends and predictors of key variables.
  • Communicate these analyses with powerful, impactful messaging and visuals, appropriate for a business audience.
  • Apply metrics to evaluate the business impact of the talent development processes.Management of the Employee Opinion Surveys
  • Opinion surveys are used widely throughout the business to gather up-to-date information on employee attitudes, e.g. on the extent to which they feel engaged with the organisation.
  • Manage all stages of opinion survey execution from planning and administration through to analysis of data and feedback.
  • Analyse survey results to provide insight for the organisation about the factors that affect key variables and therefore how to focus actions to positively enhance attitudes.

Development of Talent Management Tools and Processes

To execute the Talent Management Strategy, there is a schedule for the design and roll-out of various tools and processes.

  • Collaborate on the design of High Potential development process.
  • Contribute to the design of other development tools for talent management, leveraging technology where possible.
  • Manage external vendors for talent management, e.g. executive coaching

The Successful Applicant


  • Good degree (2.1 or 1st) from a leading university


  • Track record of excellent work performance, with at least 3-4 years in a major organisation
  • Well organised with strong project management skills
  • Good numerical reasoning, including statistical analysis (SPSS proficiency is strongly preferred)
  • Experienced in handling highly sensitive data in a professional manner
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, concise and clear
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Commercial and practical, applies business concepts and principles
  • Strong problem solving skills. Thinks in terms of sustainable solutions and spots opportunities to use technology
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g. vlookup, pivot tables, statistical analysis)
  • Proficient in PowerPoint


  • Interested in talent management (e.g. succession planning, mentoring), wants to make a difference through this discipline
  • Pro-active with strong professional curiosity
