The successful applicant will be accountable for taking the lead with advisory and compliance matters, demonstrating the ability to partner with stakeholders. It is critical that this candidate creates a dynamic taxation environment which manages the increasing demands and constraints.
This role would be reporting directly into the Managing Director and partnering/supporting the wider business. This position requires an individual who has a `can do` attitude and the ability to work collaboratively within a successful team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for supervising the team which includes responsibility for all admin function as well maintaining and building relationships with accountants. The role will will be include significant involvement in other general management areas to support the operations of the business.
A fundamental requisite is the desire and hunger to succeed, a thirst for knowledge, and desire in progressing their career within the company. The Tax Manager will be working directly within the Claims department, overseeing the team and providing support to colleagues to guarantee the integrity of the information/data the claims team deal with.
The individual must be technically competent in either direct or indirect tax and will receive full training as necessary in the policy wording and enquiry regime.
In supervising the department the individual will be responsible for all admin functions. There is a significant amount of contact with accountants.
This is a challenging role and the individual must be confident, commercial and have a sense of humour. Good communication skills are essential. This may suit a manager either in the profession or perhaps with HMRC experience. This is a satisfying and varied role suited towards someone with an eye for detail, powers of concentration and a strong team ethic.
The Successful Applicant
