About Our Client

The Tax technology team works with a wide range of multinational organisations, many of which are in the financial services and banking industries. The team works to support them in implementing the tax approaches that suit their needs. Due to changes in the global tax environment, the management of indirect tax is now recognised as the number one tax risk for global finance directors. The Tax Technology team works closely with Tax clients, Tax and/or Finance personnel to implement Tax software. This then leads to the implementation of the business's own reporting software, and other bespoke software

Job Description

The successful applicant will assist the team with work including:

  • Client implementation projects
  • Client training sessions
  • Supporting an existing blue chip client base including answering queries and resolving any software issues with clients
  • Technical specifications for future software developments and on-going improvements to the existing suite of software offerings
  • Involvement with developing new software offerings -
  • Software testing and liaising with development team to fix any issues
  • Business development
  • Opportunity to deal with overseas clients as the team expands into different geographical areas with the potential for overseas travel
  • Financial management of projects including cost analysis, issuing fees and keeping internal control records up to date
  • Risk management of projects ensuring compliance with internal risk and quality control procedures
  • Coaching and developing junior members of staff

The Successful Applicant

  • CA, CTA, ACA or ACCA or equivalent finance or tax qualification and experience
  • High level of IT skills and a general interest in IT
  • High level analytical and numerical skills
  • Awareness of VAT in theory or practise
  • A commercial approach to resolving issues, interacting with clients and providing advice
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Project co-ordination/management skills and the ability to identify and pursue business opportunities
  • High level of drive and enthusiasm with a positive attitude
  • Ability and willingness to learn and a continuous desire to seek feedback and improve
  • Willingness to travel
