Job Description

  • Responsible for the delivery of high quality responsive repairs, void works and cyclical repairs within the relevant area of operation
  • Consulting and engaging with customers, leaseholders and other stakeholders in the region including property services.
  • Ensuring that the delivery of works are planned and delivered effectively to maximise efficiencies, reduce the disruption to customers and are carried out safely and in accordance with all relevant legislation.
  • Ensure the highest standards of delivery are achieved, minimal defects, and a high level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Effectively managing the performance and on site progress of partnering Contractors ensuring that works are delivered on time, to budget, to quality standards and achieve value for money.
  • Review data, information and assets regularly
  • Build, establish a define a scope of works and specification for works
  • Ensure that asbestos risks are effectively managed, arrange surveys to identify, safe removal including monitoring, and make sure contractors carry out work in line with legislation.
  • Supporting the effective reporting and communicating to Boards, management and governance levels
  • Ensuring that the staff you are responsible for managing are suitably qualified and skilled to deliver their intended function
  • Undertake regular CPD (Continuing Personal Development)
  • Provide effective visible leadership to your team ensuring that challenging objectives and requirements are met within a positive and performance focused environment

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience of successfully delivering a similar role within another organisation
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and their effective administration
  • Previous successful experience of managing high performing teams of staff and working collaboratively across functions to meet objectives and targets
  • A recognised qualification in a property related discipline HND, degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in the successful planning and delivery of housing investment programmes
  • Understanding of Landlord Compliance and servicing requirements
  • Intermediate level IT proficiency including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, housing asset management systems and other database systems
