The client are a UK Chilled Foods business with multiple sites across the country.

Job Description

The role of Technical Manager based in the North West and reporting to the Site Manager will provide the site with the required level of technical compliance, support and expertise. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure confidence is retained within the companies products. The main responsibilities of the role will include -

  • Control and management of factory trials and NPD
  • Ensuring continuity of manufacture and product quality
  • Design, creation and management of the site quality improvement plan
  • Define GMP and hygiene standards

The Successful Applicant

The successful Technical Manager will have a degree in Food Science or Technology and be trained to an advance level in Food Hygiene and HACCP. You will have operated within a site technical management team for at least three years and must have a through awareness and exposure to Quality Systems, GMP and Legislative Compliance standards. Understanding of liquid and powder food operations in a high risk environment would be advantageous.
