A member of the HELMUT FISCHER GROUP, Fischer Instrumentation (GB) Ltd was formed in 1968. Fischer Instrumentation (GB) Ltd. is a leading specialist manufacturer of coating thickness measurement, material analysis, nanoindentation and material testing equipment.
Due to their success in the UK market and with ambitious growth plans in mind, they relocated to a purpose built facility in Lymington, Hampshire in 1986; a facility with plenty of opportunity for further expansion in what is an idyllic location on the South Coast.
Due to the diversity of their measurement equipment applications, Fischer Instrumentation (GB) Ltd customers are located throughout the UK and Ireland. To ensure customers were well supported, Fischer instrumentation (GB) Ltd subsequently opened a Northern facility in Warrington in 2013.
ISO 9001:2008 qualified since 1994, Fischer Instrumentation (GB) Ltd provide: Product demonstrations, technical support, training and consultation. This package offering has distinguished them as a leader in the field.
Their service approach is not just limited to the repair and maintenance of instruments, but also includes education and training. In addition to being able to provide on-site support, including set-up maintenance and calibration, they can also provide remote support which significantly reduces response time.
Due to their expansion and growth, 2 Technical Sales Engineer positions have been created to cover Fischer Instrumentation's range of products. This comprises a range of X Ray (XRF) instruments, Tactile hand held and bench instruments, and also micro hardness instruments
The successful candidates will spend 50% of their time on the road meeting with existing and prospective customers.
Although, the roles are home based, the candidates will be expected to make use of the extensive technical capabilities at their prospective Lymington or Warrington base.
This will ensure the Technical Sales Engineers capitalise on as many existing and new business opportunities as possible.
Candidates will create their own business plan after mapping the market and identifying where they believe the opportunities lie.
After presenting this to Fischer Instrumentation (GB) Ltd management for approval, candidates will set about implementing their plan; regularly reporting on their progress using their Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
This is a truly entrepreneurial business and role where candidates have the capability to create their own success.
The Fischer Instrumentation (GB) Ltd product range allows candidates to generate quick wins whilst creating a higher value, long-term sales pipeline.
It will be up to candidates to utilise their technical ability and commercial acumen to manage existing accounts and develop strong relationships with new accounts.
This will require individuals who are people-orientated and positive with a can-do attitude.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will:
Have a degree (or equivalent) in a technical subject such as physics, material science, chemistry, electronic engineering etc.
Have a proven track record and background in technical sales.
Have the technical ability to demonstrate Fisher Instrumentation (GB) products competently.
Be able to develop existing accounts as well as develop new ones.
Be an articulate communicator with good active listening skills.

£35 -40,000 basic salary
