Job Description

The Trade Marketing Manager will report into the Marketing Manager and contribute to the company's vision and business plan. Main responsibilities include:

  • Prepare trade promotional plan in designates channels
  • Coordinate media, public relations, events and food shows
  • Assist the sales team in providing marketing assistance to clients enquires regarding products
  • Lead retail channels' trade marketing strategy development to accomplish defined business objectives throughout product categories
  • Manage and monitor Trade Marketing investments and initiate execution
  • Attend customer meetings along with the sales team to prepare trade promotion plans, coordinating price, product and pack changes
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Director and Brand Manager to link branding activities, product development activities and sales activities
  • Provide recommendations and forecasts from activity reports from marketing intelligence
  • Turn the "selling stories" into tools for the customers to ensure the brand, product and marketing initiatives
  • Manage the central budget and supervise the trade marketing spend in the subsidiaries

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will comfortably demonstrate a successful track record at a similar level from the FMCG industry (ideally food or drink), with experience in driving the growth of own label and/or branded products.

As the Trade Marketing Manager, your strengths will lie in your working knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products through various channels and understand marketing activities using effective tools and techniques.

This role requires the individual to be:

  • Capable in building strategic, multilevel and team work relationships
  • The ability to deal with working in a complex, multinational environment
  • Persuasive in changing others minds or behaviour
  • Engaging with excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Manage time effectively and be able to manage current and future problems effectively
